DIZTURBIA.COM | EPISODE 32 / CODE:GRN | "HIP-HOP" | 03/10/15

I. HIP-HOP (INTRO)

Hey it'z your boy DJ DIZTURBIA (a.K.a "DVSNGH" Dave Singh) here,
bringin to you, BLOG/EPISODE #32, proudly addressin ma love for HIP-HOP,
tha'z right, MOTHAFUCKIN HIPPITY HIP HIP HIP to tha HIZZZOP, lmfao,
bein written live, btw, at (wait for it...) #BRAMALEA CITY CENTRE mall (Brampton).
I figure I try to find something different to write/talk about, seein az, yeah,
tha *subject matter* in the last couple blog/episodez, I'd recently put out,
they'z kinda pulled some maddd heartstringz, and in fact, they pulled
em so hard, they had me goin 'extra innings' (in termz of paragraph writing).
So I juz felt like writin about $HIT that makez me (somewhat) HAPPY in life,
that of which bein "MUSIC" (big big music fan and supporter that I am).

II. HIP-HOP II

So yeah, no real point detailin ma whole -life story- az far az music goez,
pluz pluz pluz, if I do, I would be givin away ma age juz a bit (a big no no),
buh yeah, safe to say tho, for tha majority a ma (music listening) life,
yeee, I wuz a "rock guy" (talkin: alternative, metal, punk, industrial),
with occasional break periodz (exploring: pop, techno, and even hip-hop),
and when it came specifically to hip-hop, I neva really quite got it, az far az why it wuz so popular, much more than tha shit I wuz diggin (rock music),
and there timez, where I not only wuzn't feelin it, I flat out admittedly HATED IT,
and would be often at timez vocal bout it, sayin how much "it suckz",
and all juz sum hipster goofz talkin over sum repetitive, looped background.

III. HIP-HOP III

So while I wish I could explain to y'allz where "the turning point" wuz,
when hip-hip/rap became tha new -default- in termz of my one 'fave genre',
having now officially (az of 2015) dethroned 'rock music', not to say tho,
that I've completely stopped listening to it (for good) definitely can't say that,
but yeah, what once held a "minimum 60% presence" on my iPod (and iPhone),
while the remaining % wuz a blend of all other genrez, what else can I say,
hip-hop haz the majority sharehold, and yeah, runz tha mothafuckin show now.
Oh and yeah, tha fact I recently switched up ma "iPhone skin/theme" from
ASKING ALEXANDRIA (heavy metal band) to RIFF-RAFF (hip-hop artist),
couldn't be anymore symbolic of the whole (um) changing of tha guard.

IV. HIP-HOP IV

So yeah, aside from the change in tunez, it'z also affected ma wardrobe,
in that, what once wuz a dude who wuz all about designer/brand clothingz
(talkin: Guess, Diesel, Polo/Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Affliction, Hollister, etc),
that $hit died on me, tho I'm still a proud wearer/flaunter of GUESS JEANZ
(no offence, but ENYCE, AKADEMIKS, ROCAWEAR jeanz are total crap).
So at first, I started reppin Blue Jays gear (eg. fittedz, jerseyz, hoodiez),
which is kinda borderline hip-hop fashion, and yeah, how about that,
I eventually transitioned to wearing shit with "YEEZUS" (Kanye West),
"A$AP" (A$AP Rocky/Ferg/Mob) and "Shady" (Eminem) plastered on it.
Yeah, call me whatever ("hip-hop fanboy"), I don't really give 2 fuckz.

V. 'CURRENT' HIP-HOP

So if you'z wondering what sorta $HIT I'm "on" az of late (I'm talkin
music, not umm, drugz), yeah, I be happy to list off some tha namez.
So let'z see, there'z EMINEM, you can pretty much put Em top of tha list,
followed by (don't laugh, okay NVMD, you can laugh... being that I did

THEME MA PHONE after him), this of course being one MR. RIFF RAFF.
Other rapperz or rap groupz I'm currently really high on atm include:
Yelawolf, Machine Gun Kelly, Slaughterhouse, D12, 50 Cent, G-Unit,
Kanye West, Jay-Z, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Drake, Lil Wayne, Big Sean,
J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Obie Trice, Odd Future, Tyler The Creator,
2 Chainz, Mac Miller, Danny Brown, B.O.B, and lastly, Nicki (Fuckinnn) Minaj.

VI. 'OLD-SCHOOL' HIP-HOP

So yeah, that I mentioned in the previouz paragraph, wuz juz only a list
of tha "current" hip-hop actz I'm really diggin at tha moment, but yeah,
az most know, hip-hop/music haz quite tha history, datin back to tha 80'z,
and of course, itz big 'peak period' in the 90'z, thanks to "Tupac and Biggie"
(2 rapperz, btw, I wuz never really a big fan of, idunno, a bit overrated?).
But yeah, I've juz juz recently now started to feasting thru "classic" hip-hop,
and shit I never/barely gave attention to, upon time of their release, be it,
that I wuzn't a big "hip-hop head" or wuz too young/forbidden to listen to it,
namez such az: N.W.A, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, Dr. Dre,
Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, 2 Live Crew, LL Cool J (juz to list a few).

VII. (EMINEM) DETROIT HAT

So I just wanna speak briefly about a hat (YES! A HAT) I had juz recently
purchased off a EBAY (if don't know already, yeah, I'm a maja EBAYPHILE)
it bein ma limited-edition "New Era Detroit Tigers Eminem-custom fitted",
released in 2010, alongside a baseball jersey, with tha EM'z name on it,
that of which, btw, currently sellz (on eBay) rangin from $400 to $900!
I'm not sure what the value of tha hat iz, but I did see 3 otha fellaz sellin theirz
from $250 and $375 (used!), so yeah, if indeed that iz tha true value of it,
what can I say, consida maself LUCKY, since I didn't have to pay HALF THAT!
I wuz able get it $130!, brand-fuckin-new, with the UPC label still on it too.
So yeah, to be wearin a $300+ valued ball cap, feelz fuckin sweeet I tell ya!

VIII. (A$AP ROCKY) FUNERAL HAT

So speakin of hatz, I also wanna devote sum love to another one my hatz,
thiz bein my BLVCK SCVLE (Black Scale, New York) "FUNERAL" snapback,
(copy of) tha same snapback worn by A$AP Rocky in many of hiz videoz,
az well az seen on the cover of hiz WORLD FAMOUZ "Live.Love.A$AP" CD.
You wanna know how much I paid to get that hat, yeah, $160 (plus shipping,
but yeah, $185 total), indeed, the most money I ever paid for a ball cap,
not THE most I paid for a hat, that's be my $240 Parajumpers trapper hat,
btw, purchased back when I wuz -idunno- like $4000 in credit card debt,
now I'm at, ha, $7000 (SEVEN THOUSAND MOTHAFUCKAZ) in debt,
and been at -THAT- for a year almost, since, well... I juz can't stop spendinnnn!

IX. SHADY XV

So I juz wanna talk about the one (rap) record that kinda sorta catapulted
my whole personal "hip-hop revolution" that'z kinda taken ova me (in 2015)
that being the Shady Recordz "SHADY XV" compilation, released in late-2014,
featuring the likes of Eminem (owner of Shady Recordz), D12, Slaughterhouse,
50 Cent, and one my current most fave rap starz atm, that bein Yelawolf.
Altho sum cred oughta go to RIFF RAFF (and the 'Neon Icon' album), lol,
for resurrectin my love for hip-hop music, but it wuz the SHADY XV album,
az well az all it'z crazy, psychotic promotional imagery (clever marketing),
all of which would (later, eventually) lodge itself into ma poor (vulnerable) brain.
I plan to do a mini-review of the SHADY XV album later on in the month.

X. HIP-HOP V (OUTRO)

So there is have it, I juz felt like takin valuable time of ma day to blabber on
about MOTHAFUCKIN RAP MUSIC, of all thingz, steppin aside from ma typical,
you know, blabberin bout how I CAN'T GET A GIRL FRIEND or LAID (period!).
Truz me, there be no shortage of 'THAT $HIT', to come in the future.
I wuz thinkin a doin a 'part 2' for thiz blog, in regardz to HIP-HOP (music),
since I didn't quite get 'all' my thoughtz out (perhapz a future blog).
But yeah, I'm really diggin hip-hop hard atm, moreso than I eva had before,
and tho I can't actually 'freestyle' if my life depended on it, I don't give a fuck,
I guezz what I'm tryin to say here iz, the spirit of hip-hop, it'z inside me,
it'z taken ova me, it'z makin changez, and given me new form of confidence.
