DIZTURBIA.COM | RECORD INDUCTION | ROADRUNNER UNITED "THE ALL-STAR SESSIONS" (2005) | 08/15/14

I. OPENING THOUGHTS

So the next record to be inducted into the DVSNGH record collection is
ROADRUNNER UNITED'S "The All-Star Sessions" super-album (2005),
which consists of members of various rock/metal bands, past and present
(at the time) on the American major (record) label Roadrunner Records.
So like, each song on this record here, would contain a band member (ie.
vocalist+guitarist+bassist+drummer+other) from a different band, and yeah,
the songs would sound like a transformation of all their bands put into one
(in most cases, although some songs, takes the style of just one band).
Not sure, if such record had ever been done before, with other rec. labels,
aside from charity ordeals, but here, it was a real treat for 'metalheads'.

II. THOUGHTS ON ROADRUNNER UNITED

So yeah, as I kinda mentioned already, Roadrunner United is not "a band",
but a mix-up of bands, or "supergroups" lead mainly by 4 members of
already-established metal bands like Slipknot (drummer, Joey Jordison),
Machine Head (vocalist, Robb Flynn), Trivium (vocalist, Matt Heafy)
and Fear Factory (guitarist, Dino Cezares), each producing various tracks.
Tho, it did come out 9 years ago, the music (to me) still sounds 'current',
and yeah, those who've enjoyed it, are all hoping for a "follow-up" record
to come, but highly unlikely there will be one, since the purpose/concept
of the record was to celebrate the (record) label's 25 years in existence.
Who knows, maybe they might do a "40th anniversary" project, for 2020.

V. FAVORITE TRACK

So my favorite song on "Roadrunner United", yeah, is an unlikely favorite,
a dark horse, I guess you can say, but for me (track 6) "Tired N' Lonely".
Now, as far as the group (of band members) who assembled this song,
so it features the vocals of Keith Caputo, of a band called, Life Of Agony
(I'm not that fond of), the guitars of Jim Root, and drums of Joey Jordison,
both of Slipknot (a band I'm very fond of), and the added guitars, from a guy
named Acey Slade, from The Murderdolls (a band I did like at one time).
But yeah, I remember listening this song ALOT, on the (bus) way home from
Bramalea mall, at the time (2005), having known it for only "a year", now
here I am, 9 years later, sick of Bramalea mall... even MORE tired n' lonely!

VI. OTHER STANDOUT TRACKS

So this fuckin record, what can I tell you, SOOO many songs I liked from it,
don't think I'll be able to cover half of them in this short space, but I'll try.
Starts of with such HIGH momentum with "The Dagger" and "The Enemy"
(tracks 1 and 2), but yeah, (slight downer) the songs are random in its order,
but putting that aside, when listening to this record, you are gonna find/hear
some of THE BEST DAMN *****METAL***** EVER MANUFACTURED (lol),
especially with tracks 8 ("Dawn of a Golden Age"), 17 ("No Mas Control"),
and 11 ("Baptized In The Redemption"), and then, thrown in *by surprise*,
you'll get a pop song (track 10 "No Way Out") or a somber/campfire song
(track 12 "Roads"), I guess, to 'cool your ears down' between MASSACRES!

VII. LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS

So yeah, the Roadrunner United record compilation is meant to please fans
of the bands (on and off) Roadrunner Records, also to of which, includes
bands/musical styles I DON'T LIKE, but whatever, we all have our tastes,
and since this here is indeed a record to please all (or most) METAL FANS,
you gotta please those who love their DEICIDE (track 3 "Annihilation") and
those who love their (sissy) KING DIAMOND (track 4 "In the Fire"), and
eventhough I do like THE MISFITS, sorta, the misfit 'flavored/themed' song
(track 15) "I Don't Wanna Be (A Superhero)" wasn't really all that good.
But of all the heavy metal "dream teams", on this record, I gotta give the
cake to Team "Constitution Down" (track 14) for the most boring song.

VIII. ARTWORK

So the artwork of the Roadrunner United "The All-Star Sessions" record
shows a huge embroidered logo, similar to that of a sports (soccer) team,
stitched ontop of a (Navy + Maroon) pinstriped "sports jersey"-like material,
ALMOST looking like "the real thing", but yeah, when you actual get it
(either by CD or LP), yeah, you'll see it's indeed a PAPER PRINT-OUT.
Not that it really matters to me, idunno, maybe ALL THE BAND MEMBERS
(who participated on the record) got a copy made with 'real jersey fabric'.
Still a cool looking cover, to say the least, but yeah (like millions of others
who own/like this record) hoping to see a SEQUEL/FOLLOW-UP one day.
Owning this record feels (almost) like holding a symbol of HEAVY METAL.

IX. CLOSING THOUGHTS

So if you weren't aware, but these records aren't FREE, by any means,
costing me some money to get these, saying for example, like (uh) the $95
it cost me to get a (used) copy of Marilyn Manson's "Anti-Christ Superstar",
as fucked-up as it kinda is to be buying *that* to begin with (I know, eh).
This (used) copy of Roadrunner United cost me "28 Pounds ($51 Dollars)",
coming to me from Germany, btw, so quite "the hobby" I got going here.
And I may as well break 'news', of the fact I just surpassed my credit limit
(of $7000) yet again, oh and course, how my (restaurant) job is 'at risk' atm,
due to my on-and-off ordeals with "the law" (ie. my recent 'semi-arrest'),
so yeah, I may as well repoint myself as "Dave Bieber", from this point on.

DIZTURBIA.COM | EPISODE 08 / CODE:BLU | "2014 SUMMER VACATION" | 08/12/14

I. SEMI-ARRESTED (THE AFTERMATH)

So how about life, and how about MY VACATION, so I wanted MEMORIES,
and indeed, I got my "SUMMER MEMORIES", in the form of HANDCUFFS
(if you didn't catch the news, yeah, have a good read at my previous post).
And yeah, this indeed being my "semi-arrest" lol, not to be confused with
"false arrest", that's when THEY pick up 'the wrong dude', not the case here.
Though it coulda been uglier, seeing as eyewitness reports (neighbours)
told my parents, there were 2 (not 1) PO cars at the house, and how bout it,
taking pictures while they were at it, despite texting, saying it's no big deal.
Had they pulled me from my house, and yeah, with neighbours looking on,
oh the humiliation, but, I had them *cuff me* some other place (Lakeshore).

II. BACK-TO-WORK (POSTPONED)

So yeah, ummm, (just saying) this blog report was in fact not written (on)
"Tuesday, August 12th, 2014", but written in the days ahead, but anyways,
'August 12th', this in fact be the date I was 'supposed' to return back to work,
but guess what, I was told to start back at a 'later date', reasons unknown.
My paranoia (lol) tells me this 'coulda' had some to do with my, you know,
seeing as the PO's have had 'previous contact with', ummm, my employers,
oh and yeah, indeed, they are never thrilled with 'it' to say the very least.
I coulda phoned/texted, in asking if that is true, but I'm bit embarrassed to.
So I guess I'll come to find out, when I do go back to work, at this 'later date',
if the PO's had anything to do with my vacation being 'prolonged' I guess.

III. ABANDON ALL SHIPS CONCERT (DENIED...)

So how sad is this, but on Monday (last night), I 'had' a rock concert to go,
in Brampton, to see one my current favorite bands, ABANDON ALL SHIPS,
announced months ahead, btw, they would be doing a "mini-tour" of sorts,
and yeah, I was INTENT on seeing this show (my first concert in 7 years),
and I was going to buy the tickets, the week before, I then came to find out,
ABANDON ALL SHIPS (the headline act) PULLED OUT OF THE TOUR!
(for reasons unknown, my only guess, cause of poor advance ticket sales).
But yes, this was how my vacation was to 'climax', with THAT CONCERT,
and yeah, tho the concert is still on, with 3 other bands I never heard of,
the *main reason* I wanted to go suddenly gets taken from me *like that*.

IV. PARENTS/HUMILITY

So I already discussed the HUMILITY, in terms of my workplace/coworkers,
assuming that the PO's did make contact with my manager (I assume so).
And then there's my parents, and the fact they had to be dragged in to this,
though they're somewhat aware to the "lifestyle" that I live (being a LONER,
not by choice obviously, I want friends, but GOD won't let me have ONE).
They are stunned, just as much as me, to how it is I can't make connections,
and it's not a matter of some person stuck inside their bedroom (antisocial),
they see that I go out, and am out for long hours, and out where people are,
yet, they don't hear me talking on the phone, or hear me mention "names"
(when we talk) no hint of any friends or at least signs of a healthy social-life.

V. PEAK OF MY LIFE

So I noticed many times during recent weeks, I been taking more pictures,
either before I'm leaving my house or when I'm out and about (like a loner),
of yes, MYSELF, and how greatly I admire my style (ie. color-coordination),
whether it's 't-shirts and jhorts' (jean shorts) or 'button-downs and jeans',
and of course, 'the complimentary, matching hat', I know how to fashion.
Though my body isn't really all that great in shape, nor healthwise, meh,
putting that shit aside, yeah, I really feel as if I am *NOW* at very MY PEAK
in terms of appearance, like I mean, it could only go down from this point.
And while it's GREAT for me to think such way of myself, on the contrary,
am I getting girl's numbers, am I getting dates, am I getting laid (NOPE! x3)

VI. WEB HITS

So yeah, nice to see my website (ISSUEZZ.COM) getting some *hits*, the
last few days, obviously, at the expense of me *getting cuffed* and whatnot,
a good number of those hits, I presume are LAW ENFORCEMENT people,
indeed, NOT the people I want reading my shit, in case you didn't know,
I write/post these blogs in the sole purpose for (local) girls/women to read.
But sadly, I can't seem to drive them girls/women to my site (or twitter),
despite all my efforts, pushing the (ISSUEZZ.COM) link, every opp. I get.
So looks like I have to somehow push my site through various other means,
one of which being, BUSINESS CARDS, despite the fact I've already went
thru this process before, to no real luck, but here I give it a try once again.

VII. PROFESSIONAL HELP

So I just wanted to take a quick minute to, indeed, to give a good laugh
to *PROFESSIONAL HELP* (and all those demanding that I "SEEK IT").
Well, when I was put into "3 HOUR (INVOLUNTARY) HOLD", the other day,
lol, guess what, *PROFESSIONAL HELP* went outta its way to SEEK ME,
and I believe, they offered me "the chance" to hop on *some medication*
("Maybe we can put you On Something, Dave, and it might work for you")
to which I GREATLY DENIED accepting, and yeah, they were stumped.
So they give me few printouts, of yeah, places to meet other failures/rejects,
and they insisted I lay off social-networking and the online dating scene (lol),
telling me, "to stop looking for love", and it will find me (FUCK THAT SHIT!).

VIII. SECRETS NIGHTCLUB (DENIED...)

So this past weekend, what can I say, I had made plans to BOOGIE DOWN,
(LOL @ me sounding real OLD there), by going to a club (in BRAMPTON!),
and yes indeed, I took transit TWICE, both Friday and Saturday night to
SECRETS LOUNGE/NIGHTCLUB (formerly CLUB TOBAGO in its heyday),
and though I had on t-shirt and jhorts (jean shorts), I still came *prepared*,
with "change clothes" (formal wear) in my backpack, lol, me being the true
CLUB NERD that I am (in case, they wouldn't let me in cuzza my clothes).
But how about my luck, SECRETS was closed BOTH NIGHTS, andso
I ended up bussing home, afterwards, feeling like an absolute LOSER.
So yeah, I made a last-ditch effort to go "clubbing", but FATE didn't allow it.

IX. NIAGARA FALLS (08/10/14)

So what else now, so my parents decided to take me out to Niagara Falls,
this past Sunday, despite the whole 'semi-arrest' ordeal (2 days previous).
But yeah, we would make a trip there every 9 months, just as a getaway
(they'd go to the casino, I'd be out sight-seeing, then we meet back/leave).
One of my favorite things, personally, is going to the 'Rock Legends' store
(next to the 'Rock Legends' museum), and usually, I would buy something,
but amazingly, I looked for a whole hour, and couldn't find anything to buy,
which kinda brought me down, but what can I say, I blame it all on EBAY!
Another thing bringing me down, is indeed, all the couples *holding hands*,
altho, I was more annoyed this time around, by all the BABY-STROLLERS.

X. SUMMER VACATION (OVER)

So there you pretty much have it, as far as my SUMMER VACATION went,
ending up pretty much how I suspected/feared it might go, being that, well,
my trip to NYC (the first 4 days, rewinding back, 21 days ago) would be the
only thing of real 'significance', I wished I coulda stayed longer, obviously,
but as you know, I'm basically "the pet attached to my parent's leash", lol.
And yeah, the 'semi-arrest' deal, which I obviously didn't really see coming,
and who knows, it may also lead to a 'demotion', as far as *my job* goes,
or you never know, me even losing my job, or given "a final warning" (hmm).
And what else, the jist of my 2014 vacation consisted mainly of me, yeah,
TRYIN HARD get a date (on dating sites), and yeah, FAILING nonetheless.
